Project Brief | Goal of the project: All 16 Diocesan partners are accompanied in developing a safeguarding policy to minimize the consequences of a safeguarding breach on an organization’s reputation, funding, and trustworthiness. North East Diocesan Social Service Society (NEDSSS) is committed to protect the rights of children and vulnerable adults by safeguarding them from all forms of harmful influences, abuse and exploitation. NEDSSS will make necessary arrangements to prevent or minimize any harm to children and vulnerable adults who come in contact with the organisation and will take measures to respond to any concern raised within the organisation or its programs as outlined in the policy. A ‘duty of care’ exists for all stakeholders who come into contact with children vulnerable adults. This means they should not only apply the principles of good practice in their work, but also that they have a responsibility and a legal duty to ensure the protection and safety of children and vulnerable adults in their care and in contact with. |
